Oh, that looks horrible! Is your foot recovering? I think you need to buy yourself lots of yummy sock yarn to help your foot heal quickly :-)

Ouch! It looks like you cut your sock off from your foot!!!
I hope you are recovering.
Thinking of you!

Oh my... that is awful. I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself seriously.

Make sure that nobody shows that picture to the airport security people! I'm so sorry - I'm sure it must be very painful.

Wow. I have never witnessed that level of sock sacrifice before. I can't imagine how much that hurt. I jammed a dpn into my knee once, but it only went in about a half inch. And it hurt. A lot.

the horror of your foot with that weapon sticking out and the slashed and destroyed sock is almost more than a person can stand to look at. I am so sorry for you. I hope it heals quickly and completely.

i agree with christine - your foot is going to need extra special extra soft sock yarn to help it heal. puncture wounds can be nasty, so be careful. as for the poor sock - words can not express the grief felt for a sock that gave itself so selflessly.

That's terrible - I'm glad you are ok. They could have tried to save the sock. Geeze.

oh, you poor thing! Who ever said knitting isn't a dangerous extreme contact sport??? Hope you heal quickly!

My fear has come true in someone else. I knit on the train and often think what if I accidently stab someone with my little sox needle. I hope you are doing much better and this will all be a faded memory soon. Take care of yourself. Socks are replaceable but your foot is not.

Oh. My. Goodness. I hope you're doing better now.

*pained and hissing inhale* Yikes! I'm glad to hear you're doing OK and will recover. I use KnitPicks size 1's for my socks, and now I'm afraid of them.

Oh man. I followed the link back from a comment on my blog. At least the picture of our little household accident was taken after, not during, the event. Ouch!
